Part 1: General Questions

The examiner asks you about yourself, your home, work or studies and other familiar topics.

What kind of career do you hope to have in the next five years?
Did you have a different dream job when you were a child?
How important is it for you to have a high-paying job in the future?
Do you prefer to plan your future in detail or take things as they come?
What new skill would you like to learn to help your career?

Part 2: Long Turn

You will have to talk about the topic for one to two minutes.

Describe a specific goal you want to achieve in the future.

You should say:

what the goal is
why this goal is important to you
what steps you need to take to achieve it
and explain what difficulties you might face along the way.

what kind of qualifications it requires
where you would like to work
and explain why this job appeals to you so much.

Describe a future plan you have that is not related to work or study.

when you hope to do it
who you will do it with
and explain why you are looking forward to this plan.

Part 3: Two-way Discussion

You will be asked further questions connected to the topic in Part 2.

Do you think schools provide enough career guidance for teenagers?
Why do some people decide to make a complete career change later in life?
How does societal pressure influence the career choices young people make?
Is it realistic to expect that everyone can eventually find their 'dream job'?
